The Childcare Provider
Although I'm not their mother, I care for them each day.
I cuddle, sing, and read to them, and watch them as they play.
I see each new accomplishment, and help them grow and learn,
I understand their language, and I listen with concern.
They come to me for comfort, and I kiss away their tears.
They proudly show their work to me, I give the loudest cheers!
No, I am not their mother, but my role is just as strong.
I nurture them and keep them safe, though maybe not for long.
I know someday the time may come, when we will have to part,
But I know each child I've cared for is forever in my heart!

My daycare is unique in that we serve only natural and organic meals and snacks.  I use only all natural cleaning products.  I believe that limiting our exposure to harmful chemicals, additivities and toxins helps maintain good health and has less impacts on our environment.  I also believe it is our responsibility to consider our impacts on the environment for future generations in everything we do.

I have a small groups setting and do not fill to my limit.  This gives your child lots of attention.

Please join me in welcoming my helper Roxann back to our daycare!  She will be working here at least 3 days a week on a part-time basis.

One level of our home is dedicated to the daycare with lots of age appropriate toys and learning centers. I buy most plastic toys used to aviod harmful chemicals in our air. We also have a space dedicated to preschool.  Playtime is also learning time!

NOTE TO PARENTS:  I AM TAKING A VACATION DAY ON FRIDAY, DECEMBER 26TH!

Hours of Operation:
7:00 am to 5:30 pm  Monday through Friday.

I am a family childcare provider licensed by the state of Minnesota. I operate my day care home in compliance with the State Rules for Family Child Care. Our home meets all licensing, fire, health, and safety requirements.  We are licensed to have a total of 10 children in our care.  Of those 10, 6 may be under school aged and a combined total of no more than three shall be infants and toddlers. Of this total, no more than two shall be infants.

All families receive a monthly newsletter and weekly lunch menu. This will contain a list of the items we need from home, reminders, field trips, etc. In addition, a monthly newsletter is sent home to parents of preschool children listing the month’s preschool activities. Parents will also receive a daily note about their child’s day, including foods eaten, length of nap, etc.  I do offer conferences with parents three times per year.  You may also request an additional conference with me whenever you feel one is necessary.

I have a total of 3.5 years experience being a licensed childcare provider.I have two children of my own and several years experience working with children. I am dedicated to promoting the growth and development of the whole child. I care for children because I enjoy being with them, caring for them, teaching them and helping them.  I am a professional and childcare is my chosen field.
I am currently working to obtain my CDA (Child Development Asscoiate) Credential.  I expect to have it around February, 2009.  You can learn more about it at
